pidan's mixed litter is a viral product that blends tofu litter and bentonite clay at roughly a 7:3 ratio. The idea: combine the eco-friendly flushability of tofu with the rock-solid clumping of clay. After 30 days of actual use, it largely delivers on that promise — but there are a few things you absolutely need to know before buying.

Rating Breakdown
What Is Mixed Cat Litter?
pidan pioneered the concept of blending tofu litter with bentonite clay to capture the strengths of both: tofu's flushability and low dust, plus clay's superior clumping and odor control. The idea caught fire — now nearly every litter brand has a mixed formula.
30-Day Usage Report
Week 1: Mild milky scent when opened, our test cat adapted immediately. The clumping is the standout feature — compact, rock-solid clumps that don't crumble when scooped. This alone makes mixed litter worth considering.
Week 2: Odor control held up well. Significantly better than pure tofu litter, nearly on par with pure bentonite. But you do need to scoop at least 1–2 times daily.
Week 3: Dust started to creep in. As the litter aged, the bentonite component began generating visible dust. Still much better than pure clay, but noticeably worse than pure tofu.
Week 4: Overall performance remained steady. We recommend a full litter change every 2–3 weeks.
Important: Do NOT Flush This!
Because it contains roughly 30% bentonite clay, mixed litter cannot be flushed like pure tofu litter. This is a common misconception. Bentonite expands in water and can clog your pipes. Dispose of used clumps with household trash instead.

- ✗Some batches have an overpowering milky fragrance
- ✗Needs full replacement more frequently than some alternatives
🎯 The Bottom Line
pidan Mixed Litter is one of the best all-around litters we've tested. If you can live with the fact that it isn't flushable, the clumping and odor control will impress you. It's especially well-suited for multi-cat households and high-traffic litter boxes. Just remember: do NOT flush it.
